Welcome to Homosassa Springs! We made the venture to the park on May 2 (I know, totally behind on the post). Once we arrived, we purchased our tickets and hopped on the boat that transported us to the Park. The boat ride lasted about 15-20 minutes, which allowed for us to see much of native Florida. It reminded us of our camp days when working for Eckerd... especially the humidity in the air!
Michael had a wonderful afternoon getting to see Lou the Hippo, alligators as well as some manatee's.
His favorite section on the Park was the fishbowl.
After we hung out with the all the fishes, we decided to head to lunch at a nearby place but ran into this great picture opportunity! We couldn't resist!
And of course, we always try and get a family picture!
So quite a few of Mike's co-workers grew up in the area and told about this local joint called "Margauritagrill." We decided to head over and try it out! Well we can tell you that Michael loved this place. He tried the fries and bread, but since he did not have teeth at the time so we were careful with what we gave him. We got some GREAT pictures!
It was a fantastic afternoon in Homosassa! We can't wait to go back again but next time it will be during the fall or spring ;) Love to all!
